A mobile application for students and landlords to securely book and manage housing off-campus without relying on the Google Play Store.
01. The Challenge
Students in Kenya struggle to find reliable off-campus housing, and landlords face high default rates. The client needed a secure, verifiable platform deployed outside the Play Store to reach a specific student demographic rapidly, requiring custom APK distribution and strict compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act.
02. The Solution
We developed a cross-platform mobile app alongside a secure backend. For distribution, we built a high-fidelity marketing landing page that handled secure APK downloads directly. We integrated automated compliance checks and drafted legally sound Privacy Policies and Terms of Service directly into the user onboarding flow.
03. The Result
Achieved a successful, secure production release bypassing standard app store bottlenecks, gaining immediate traction among university students while maintaining 100% data compliance.
